Craig Lopez is a lifelong resident of the Town of Shawangunk and proudly represents district 14 in the Ulster County Legislature. A graduate of Pine Bush High School, Craig earned a Bachelor degree in Marketing and works professionally as a graphic artist.

Craig was first elected to the Ulster County Legislature in 2012 and currently serves as the Deputy Minority Leader of the Republican Caucus. In his role as a legislator, he is committed to responsible government, fiscal accountability, and policies that protect taxpayers while preserving the character and quality of life that make Ulster County such a special place to live.

He resides in beautiful Walker Valley with his wife and their twin boys. Deeply rooted in his community, Craig is an active supporter of local veterans, first responders, sportsman and scouting organizations, and believes strongly in fostering opportunities for young people, preserving the region’s outdoor heritage, and strengthening the community bonds that define Ulster County.

Through his public service, Craig remains dedicated to advocating for the residents of his district, promoting practical solutions to local challenges, and ensuring that county government remains transparent, responsive, and focused on the needs of the people it serves.
