Joe was born and raised in Kingston, NY where he attended elementary, middle and high school. He is one of 5 children of a single working mother. His 2 sons, born and still residing in Kingston. are the fifth generation of his family in Ulster County.

Joe has worked for the City of Kingston Water Department for the past 29 years, serving 20 years as union shop steward for local 750 AFSCME. Before being elected to the Legislature, Joe served for 9 years on the Ulster County Human Rights Commission. In his role as Legislator, he hopes to address the pressing issues of housing, job opportunities, mental health services, and infrastructure and considers it an honor to serve the people of Ulster County.

He currently lives in Port Ewen with my partner Maureen and 2 cats.
