Maloney, Provenzano, and Rodriguez)

Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Kenneth J. Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office provided security services for

the Saugerties Hudson Project Music Festival held at the Winston Farm in

Saugerties, NY on July 11, 2014 through July 13, 2014, and incurred overtime

expenses above what was budgeted for 2014; and

WHEREAS, the festival promoters deposited funds with the Ulster County

Commissioner of Finance to cover the costs that would be incurred by Ulster County

as a result of holding the festival; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the

reimbursement of $82,176.00 from the Saugerties Summer Festival Revenue

Account and such funds be appropriated to cover the costs associated with overtime

expenses incurred by the Sheriff’s Office; for use in the Criminal Overtime budget

line for $70,728.12 and the Corrections Overtime expenses for $ 11,447.84; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2014 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

INCREASE AMOUNT

AA.3110.1811-3120.1510 Sheriff Fees $70,728.00

AA.3150.1855-3120.1589 Other Public Safety Income $11,448.00
