Maloney, Provenzano and Rodriguez)

Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, the County Executive has submitted this resolution on behalf of

the Department of Public Works; and

 WHEREAS, the New York State Department of Transportation is making a

one-time special allocation available to counties for extreme winter recovery to aid in

the repair of roads and bridges; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New

York State Department of Transportation that additional funding for Ulster County in

the amount of $247,198.37 for the State fiscal year 2014-2015 is available; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests the 2014 Extreme

Winter Recovery Appropriation account be created; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee has met and

reviewed said request with a majority of the members voting approval; and

 WHEREAS, the Ways and Means Committee has met and reviewed said

request with a majority of the members voting approval; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2014 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:
