Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Human Rights Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health requests that Chair of the Legislature be authorized to sign the affiliation agreement with the State of New York College at Brockport; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Mental Health will host a Bachelor of Social Work student from the State of New York College at Brockport; and

 

WHEREAS, the student will perform 400 hours of field education over the course of the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Mental Health will provide field instruction and supervision of the field education activities as prescribed by the State of New York College at Brockport’s Bachelor of Social Work program; and

 

WHEREAS, there is no monetary contribution by Ulster County for this affiliation agreement; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is authorized to sign the affiliation agreement between the Ulster County Department of Mental Health and the State of New York College at Brockport,

 

and moves its adoption.
