Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Human Rights Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

 

          WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health requires authorization to extend the intermunicipal agreement between the Ulster County Department of Mental Health and the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health to support the availability of the Dutchess County Helpline 9-8-8 suicide prevention call center to Ulster County residents; and

 

          WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Mental Health requests the ability of the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to sign any amendments thereto; and

 

WHEREAS, there remains no monetary contribution by Ulster County for this intermunicipal agreement; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is authorized to sign the intermunicipal agreement between the Ulster County Department of Mental Health and the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health,

 

and moves its adoption.
