Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, the elevator servicing the Dewitt Library on SUNY Ulster’s Stone Ridge campus is currently in-operable due to flooding of the elevator shaft; and

 

WHEREAS, this elevator provides the only ADA access and is in need of emergency replacement to ensure ADA compliance; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the elevator shaft is designed to avoid future mechanical failure, it is necessary to design and re-engineer the current mechanical room to protect against potential flooding and water damage; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to establish a capital project for such, it is necessary to amend the 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program to add Capital Project No. 688- $2,000,000.00; now, therefore be it

 

 RESOLVED, that the 2024 – 2029 Capital Program is hereby amended as follows:
