Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

          WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 454, dated August 15, 2023 established Capital Project No. 675, Jail Axon Body Camera Purchase in the amount of $440,753.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting an increase of $215,520,00 for the purchase and installation of 48 additional Axon body worn cameras; and

WHEREAS, the Capital Project will cover the addition of software and hardware to allow upfitting of half the Jail staff with a body warn camera; and

WHEREAS, the Axon contracts are established and broken down into a 5 year plans; and now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2025 - 2030 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program is amended as follows:

and, be it further

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 675 for Sheriff’s Office Jail Axon Body Camera Purchase be amended as follows:
