Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:  

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf the Department Of Emergency Communications/ Emergency Management; and

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County holds a contract with the City of Kingston Fire Department for Special Operations Response throughout the County of Ulster; and

 

WHEREAS, the contract between Ulster County and the City of Kingston is being amended to include providing Tactical Emergency Medical Response to the Ulster County Sheriffs Emergency Response Team for 2024 and 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Kingston Fire Department has agreed to provide Tactical Emergency Medical Response to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team for the remainder of 2024 at no additional cost; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Executive requests that the Chair of the Legislature be authorized to amend the current agreement with the City of Kingston to provide Tactical Emergency Medical Response at a cost of $5,000.00 for the period of January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025; now, therefore; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement with the City of Kingston to include Tactical Emergency Medical Response to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team under the Special Operations Response contract between Ulster County and the City of Kingston, effective August 19, 2024 through December 2024 at no cost, and beginning January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, to provide payment for Tactical Emergency Medical Response at a cost of $5,000.00, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,         

 

and moves its adoption.
