Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and

 

WHEREAS, Caseload Explorer is a computerized case management system which is used to both receive and transmit client data between the Department of Probation and the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and the software is essential to the operation of the department; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2023 Ulster County Probation Budget approved and allocated $20,866.00 for a Caseload Explorer software maintenance agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, Caseload Explorer was purchased by Catalis Courts and Land Records, LLC and as the new licensor of the software, Catalis was unable to provide all the necessary documents to complete the County contract before the close of 2023, leaving the 2023 invoice unpaid; and

 

WHEREAS, without a contract in place, the Department of Probation was unable to create a Purchase Order to transfer the unspent $20,866.00 and amend the 2024 budget; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the 2024 Ulster County Budget to pay for services rendered; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Budget is amended as follows:
