Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHERAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff has requested the transfer of $90,000.00 from the Sheriff Forfeiture Reserve; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff requests the funds be moved to the 2024 Operational Budget to disburse to participating Municipalities for the years of 2020-2023; and

 

WHEREAS, it is agreed within the MOU to disburse local seized forfeiture to participating Municipalities based on hours worked within Urgent; and

 

WHEREAS, based on the hours of participation, disbursements are due to Town of Plattekill for $ 40,000.00, Town of Marlborough for $ 25,000.00, Town of Shandaken for $20,250.00, Town of Lloyd for $2,750.00 and Village of Ellenville for $2,000.00; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, the Ulster County Legislature hereby authorizes the transfer of Sheriff forfeiture funds from the Sheriff Forfeiture Reserve to the 2024 Operating Budget; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2024 Ulster County Operating Budget is amended as follows:
