Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

  WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has secured a public protection grant in the amount of $12,210.00 from New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee for the term of October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, funded by the State of New York State; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to reimburse the County Budget Lines where the expenses are incurred for this activity; now, therefore be it

           

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an agreement to accept a Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee Grant, secured by New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and moves its adoption.
