Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Gina Hansut, and Deputy Chair Chris Hewitt offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Probation; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Probation requests that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute an amendment to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Program contract DCJ01-C01036-1090000 for the period October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2024, increasing the total amount of the contract to $301,720.00; and

WHEREAS, amending contract DCJ01-C01036-1090000 will allow the Department of Probation to accept $75,430.00 for the period October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024, to fund the continuation of the Ulster County Crime Victim Assistance Program’s established sexual assault and prevention services for residents of Ulster County; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the period October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2024, in the amount of $301,720.00, as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney in consultation with the Chair of the Legislature and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee,   

and moves its adoption.
