Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 612, dated December 5, 2022, approved the advancement of capital projects for the Ulster County Community College that were included in the approved 2023-2028 Ulster County Capital Improvement program; and
WHEREAS, in order to create better location identity, visibility and navigation on SUNY Ulster’s campuses, the College is looking to establish a capital project – Wayfinding; and
WHEREAS, the College’s signage is very old or non-existent; and
WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 23-05-09, dated May 16, 2023 establishing Capital Project – Wayfinding in the amount of $250,000; and
WHEREAS, the $250,000 cost to provide design and installation of the signage would be divided as follows: $125,000 State and $125,000 Ulster County; and
WHEREAS, the 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program included funding of $250,000 for Wayfinding; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Capital Project No 672– SUNY Ulster Wayfinding is hereby established as follows:

RESOLVED, that the 2023-2028 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
INCREASE AMOUNT
HH.2497.0672-2300.2500 Professional Services Architectural $250,000.00
HH.2497.0672-3500.5710 Revenue – Serial Bonds $250,000.00
and move its adoption.
