Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Economic Development; and

 

WHEREAS, the County, by and through its Department of Economic Development, desires to enter into an agreement for entrepreneur and business expansion support services; and

 

WHEREAS, the County solicited, through RFP No. 2022-080, proposals for entrepreneur and business expansion support services and SUNY New Paltz, by and through its Venture Hub, was a successful proposer; and

 

WHEREAS, the County seeks to engage the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz to provide services to entrepreneurs that are located in or relocating to Ulster County, or that plan to relocate to or startup in Ulster County; and

 

WHEREAS, the Venture Hub at SUNY New Paltz will convene and conduct the Mid-Hudson regional entrepreneurial ecosystem, deliver mentorship services, and perform outreach to Ulster County entrepreneurs; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with SUNY New Paltz for one year, with the option to continue via two (2) one-year extensions, and any amendments hereto, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,

 

and moves its adoption.
