Chairman of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

WHEREAS,thisresolutionhasbeensubmittedat the request oftheCountyExecutiveon behalf of the Department of Health; and

WHEREAS,the vendors have been providing Forensic Pathology and Morgue Storage services to Ulster County since 2017 and are considered sole service providers; and

WHEREAS, services provided by vendors are mandated services through NYS Law 17-A CNT which defines County obligation to provide Medical Examiner or Coroner services; and

WHEREAS, in order to reflect this, an amendment of the 2023 budget is necessary; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2023 County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
