Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Brian B. Cahill, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, the resolution has been submitted at the request of the Acting County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Community College (herein “UCCC”); and

WHEREAS, in order to mitigate the increasing external and internal risks and better equip SUNY Ulster’s response to any emergencies, the College is looking to establish a Capital Project No. 654 – Emergency Preparedness; and

          WHEREAS, the College’s emergency response equipment is at the end of its life cycle or non-existent; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program included the Infrastructure Improvement projects; and

WHEREAS, the College determines the cost of procurement of the emergency response equipment and installation services for this Capital Project in 2023 is $350,000; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Capital Project – Emergency Preparedness via Resolution No.22-10-118; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the establishment of the Capital Project No. 654– Emergency Preparedness; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 654 be established as follows:

RESOLVED, that the 2023 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
