Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Abe Uchitelle, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the Ulster County Sheriff; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has secured a public protection grant in the amount of $17,710.00 from New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee for the term October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, funded by New York State Department of Motor Vehicles; and  

 

WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to reimburse the County Budget Lines where expenses for this activity are incurred; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign the agreement in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, and to accept a Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee Grant, secured by New York State Department of Motor Vehicles,

 

and move its adoption.
