Chair of the Health, Human Services and Housing Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Craig V. Lopez offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health; and

                                                                                                                  

WHEREAS, the NYS Office of Mental Health licensed, regulated and designated providers who are eligible to receive funds to be used for workforce recruitment and retention activities under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) of 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, these funds are to be used in the County for eligible workforce recruitment and retention activities, as outlined in the NYSOMH document: Guidance on Eligible Workforce Funding Activities; and

         

WHEREAS, in order to reflect the increased funding, an amendment of the 2022 budget is necessary; and

         

          WHEREAS, Ulster County is in receipt of a modified OMH State Aid Letter (SAL) number eleven dated March 17, 2022, which notifies the County of an allocation of $30,000 from the CMHS Block Grant Program, identified as CMHS Adult COVID Relief Funds; and

 

          WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Mental Health has requested authorization to sign the Attestation and Certification of Agreement for Federal Funds; and

 

WHEREAS, there is no increase in County Contribution as a result of these modifications; now, therefore, be it

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Commissioner of Mental Health is hereby

authorized to execute the intermunicipal agreement with required assurances, and any amendments thereto, with the NYS OMH for the purpose of accepting funding from Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) Adult COVID Relief BlockGrant in the amount of $30,000.00 to support implementation of workforce recruitment and retention activities in Ulster County; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the 2022 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
