Chairwoman of the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Committee, Manna Jo Greene, and Deputy Chair Gina Hansut offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections C-25 (A) of the Ulster County Charter and Section A3-4 (A) of the Administrative Code, the County Executive has the power and duty to appoint department heads; and

 

          WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 44 – 1 (B) of the Code of the County of Ulster, the County Executive has appointed Nick Hvozda to the position of Director of the Department of Environment; and

 

WHEREAS, further pursuant to Chapter 44 – 1 (B) of the Code of the County of Ulster, the above-referenced appointment is subject to confirmation by the Ulster County Legislature; now, therefore, be it

         

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the appointment of Nick Hvozda to the position of Director of the Department of Environment,

 

and move its adoption.
