Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee, James Delaune, and Legislator Peter Criswell offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 191 dated August 18, 2020, the Ulster County Legislature adopted a policy for appropriating funding to non-county organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 426 dated December 15, 2020, the Ulster County Legislature revised the policy for appropriating funding to non-county organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1 adopted January 11, 2021, the standing committees for the year 2021 were established with responsibilities described therein for each; and

 

WHEREAS, the policy for appropriating funding to non-county organizations currently infringes upon the authority given to several of these standing committees; and

 

WHEREAS, the policy for funding non-county organization must be further amended to correct this inequity and infringement; now, therefore be it

 

           RESOLVED, that the Policy for Appropriating Funding to Non-County Organizations – Ulster County Legislature is hereby adopted as revised and attached, entitled “Exhibit A”,

                                                                                       

and move its adoption.
