Chairman of the Legislature, David B. Donaldson, offers the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Health, and

WHEREAS,the Ulster County Department of Health has received notification from the New York State Department of Health of supplemental Public Health Emergency Preparedness funding, in the amount of $4,100,381.00 to establish COVID-19 screening testing programs to support and maintain in-person learning, for the period July 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022, as per notification dated May 20, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Public Health Emergency Preparedness funds are provided through a contract with Health Research, Inc which will be provided to the Legislature for authorization upon receipt from New York State; and

WHEREAS, in order to reflect this funding and create a position to support and manage the program’s required activities, an amendment of the 2021 budget is necessary; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the 2021 County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
