Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and Deputy Chair Manna Jo Greene offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the present lease agreement with O&W Station, LLC, for offices of the Family & Child Advocacy Center 51 Hurley Avenue, Kingston, NY will expire on March 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, additional space has become available at 51 Hurley Avenue, Kingston, New York adjacent to the Family & Child Advocacy Center; and
WHEREAS, the Family & Child Advocacy Center has expressed their need for additional space to continue their operations; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature to amend a lease agreement with O&W Station to lease an additional 1,349 square feet of office space until the end of the lease term March 31, 2025 for a total square footage of 4,677; and
WHEREAS, the aggregate lease cost will increase by $61,851.90 inclusive of the second lease year’s escalation being waived; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Chair of The Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute a lease amendment, with O&W Station, 411 Washing Avenue, Suite 201, Kingston NY, for offices of the Family & Child Advocacy Center located at 51 Hurley Avenue, Kingston, NY for a term commencing April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2025, at an adjusted aggregate lease cost of $381,339.90 as filed with the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and move its adoption.
