Chairman of the Legislature, David B. Donaldson, offers the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3 adopted January 8, 2020, the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee was established to set policy and review contracts pertaining and related to the following: Arts, Ulster County Community College, Historian, Libraries, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Community Action, Office for the Aging, Youth Bureau, and Veterans Affairs; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 191 dated August 18, 2020, the Ulster County Legislature adopted a policy for appropriating funding to non-county organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, said policy infringes upon the authority given to the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee; and

 

WHEREAS, the policy for funding non-county organization must be revised to correct this infringement; now, therefore be it

 

           RESOLVED, that the Policy for Appropriating Funding to Non-County Organizations – Ulster County Legislature is hereby adopted as revised and attached, entitled “Exhibit A”,

                                                                                                         

and move its adoption.
