Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has secured a public protection grant in the amount of $6,500.00 from New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee for the term of October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021, funded by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to reimburse the County Budget Lines where the expenses are incurred for child safety seat installation and education; and therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to sign an agreement, and to accept a Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee Grant, Child Passenger Safety Program, secured by New York State Department of Motor Vehicles,

 

and move its adoption.
