Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Eve Walter, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on behalf of the Public Defender’s Office; and
WHEREAS, the Public Defender has requested that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature be authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the purpose of Ulster County’s participation in the New York State Aid to Defense Project No. AD 19-1025, for the period of October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for the purpose of Ulster County’s participation in the New York Aid to Defense Project No. AD19-1025, for the period of October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and moves its adoption.
