Legislator Craig Lopez offers the following:

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature appropriated to the Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1 the sum of $10,000.00 in the 2020 Ulster County Budget to be expended for the purpose of offsetting costs associated with purchasing heat resistant wall panels, materials and maintenance work for the Walker Valley Fire District burn tower; and  

 

WHEREAS, the Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1 will receive payment not to exceed $10,000.00 $5,000.00, in accordance with the terms specified in an agreement with the County of Ulster and the Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1, and will submit a certified accounting of expenditures to the Legislative Financial Analyst and Commissioner of Finance; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an agreement not to exceed the amount of $10,000.00 $5,000.00, to be expended towards costs associated with purchasing heat resistant wall panels, materials and maintenance work for the Walker Valley Fire District burn tower, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, Counsel to the County Legislature, Chair of the County Legislature, and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that as part of the agreement, the Comptroller and/or any and all officers of the County of Ulster, their agents and repre­sentatives, shall be allowed full access upon reasonable notice and at reasonable times to the books, papers, records and premises of the Walker Valley Chemical Engine No. 1 during the period that this resolution is in effect for the purpose of ascertaining the manner in which the above sum of money is being used or applied; and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that the above organization agrees to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations including, in particular, any forbidding discrimination by such organization,

 

and move its adoption.
