Chairwoman of the Legislature, Tracey A. Bartels, offers the following:

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 49, dated February 19, 2013, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature was authorized to execute a License Agreement with the Ulster County Agricultural Society, Inc., for use of a portion of premises owned by the County of Ulster situated on Libertyville Road, New Paltz, New York, commonly known as the Ulster County Fairgrounds; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 434, dated November 14, 2017, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature was authorized to amend the License Agreement, for an additional one year period, with the Ulster County Agricultural Society, Inc. ending December 31,2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the existing revocable License Agreement covers the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019; and

 

WHEREAS, Ulster County and the Ulster County Agricultural Society, Inc., have negotiated an amendment to extend the term of the License for an additional  one year period, ending December 31, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Agricultural Society shall continue to pay the County of Ulster the amount calculated pursuant to paragraph 6 of the existing License Agreement; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Chairwoman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the revocable License Agreement with the Ulster County Agricultural Society, Inc., granting it the use of the Ulster County Fairgrounds for an additional one year, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature, or as modified by the County Attorney and Legislative Counsel,

 

and move its adoption.
