Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee, James Delaune, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes, offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 525, dated December 18, 2018, approved the advancement of capital projects for the Ulster County Community College that were included in the approved 2019-2024 Ulster County Capital Improvement program; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster, through its Office for Information Services, has assessed the need for technology upgrades on campus and compiled a list of the most critical locations that will be enable the College to stay on target with the required needs of technology for the college programs that are taught on campus, as well as help students, staff and faculty to accomplish their goals within the education system; and

WHEREAS, on May 21, 2019, the SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 19-5-115 establishing Capital Project No. 546 in the amount of $300,000.00, to upgrade technology equipment; and

WHEREAS, the $300,000.00 cost to upgrade technology equipment in 2019, would be divided as follows: $150,000.00 State and $150,000.00 Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, the 2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program included funding of $300,000.00 for Technology Upgrades; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 546 – SUNY Ulster Technology Upgrades is hereby established as follows:
