Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee, James Delaune, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes, offer the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and
WHEREAS, the Chair of the Ulster County Legislature approved the Program Management agreement with the Dormitory Authority of New York State for the provision of project management services via Resolution No. 259 at the Regular Legislative Session held on June 19, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 112, dated March 20, 2018, established Capital Project No. 524 SUNY Ulster – Burroughs Renovations and amended 2018 Capital Improvement to Plan to add such project and fund such project in the amount of $552,200.00; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, Burroughs Lecture Hall is in a need of a handicapped accessible ramp to ensure access to all levels of the Lecture Hall; and
WHEREAS, the SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved the Work Order No. 2019-008 with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) (Capital Project: Burroughs Renovations) via resolution #19-5-114, at the Board of Trustees meeting held on May 21, 2019; and
WHEREAS, such Work Order totals $61,500.00 (inclusive of DASNY Fee of $19,800.00) for such project, which will be divided as follows: $30,750.00 State and $30,750.00 Ulster County; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Chair of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby authorized to execute Work Order No. 2019-008 – Installation of An Accessible Ramp at Burroughs Lecture Hall with DASNY for the provision of design and construction management services,
and move its adoption.
