Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services Committee, James Delaune, and Deputy Chair Heidi Haynes, offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 525, dated December 18, 2018, approved the advancement of capital projects for the Ulster County Community College that were included in the approved 2019-2024 Ulster County Capital Improvement program; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster has many buildings where the HVAC system is either nonexistent, malfunctioning or needs to be an updated due to inefficiencies; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster is looking for an assessment and upgrades to install and replace all the HVAC systems in all of the buildings across campus; and

WHEREAS, on April 16, 2019, the SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 19-4-86 establishing Capital Project No. 542 in the amount of $200,000.00, to upgrade nonfunctioning HVAC systems that need to be addressed first on campus; and

WHEREAS, the $200,000.00 cost to upgrade HVAC systems in 2019, would be divided as follows: $100,000.00 State and 100,000.00 Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, the 2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program included funding of $1,000,000 for HVAC Upgrades; now, therefore be it

 RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 542 – SUNY Ulster HVAC Upgrades Campus-wide is hereby established as follows:
