Chairwoman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Laura Petit, and Deputy Chair Dean J. Fabiano offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Acting County Executive on behalf of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of a decrease in CHIPS funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $6,090.00 for the 2019-2020 State fiscal year; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New York State Department of Transportation of a decrease in PAVE NY funding for Ulster County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $1,391.00 for the State fiscal year 2019-2020; and

            WHEREAS, there exists a 2018 CHIPS budget balance of $536,669.00 to be rolled over into the 2019 Budget; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the Budget to reflect the net difference of the rollover balance and State decrease in funding; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests the 2019 CHIPS / PAVE NY appropriations and revenues be increased by $529,188.00 ($536,669.00 rollover minus $6,090.00 CHIPS and $1,391.00 PAVE NY); now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2019 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
