Chairwoman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Mary Beth

Maio, and Deputy Chair Julius Collins offer the following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the Ulster County Sheriff;

and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has been notified that funding

is available to reimburse overtime expenses related to participation in Joint Law

Enforcement Operations through the Unites State Department of Justice; and

WHEREAS, in order for the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office to be eligible to

receive such reimbursement, the County must enter into an obligation document with

document control # JLEO-18-0424, for October 2, 2017 until September 30, 2018

with United States Department of Justice for participation in the Joint Law

Enforcement Operations; and

WHEREAS, such funding will be used to replenish funds used to pay Officers

Overtime spent, up to the amount of $1,000.00, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to enter into an agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the United

States Department of Justice for the purpose of Ulster County’s participation in the

Joint Law Enforcement Operations # JLEO-18-0424, for the period October 2, 2017

until September 30, 2018, in the amount of $1,000, in the form as filed with the Clerk

of the Ulster County Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County

Attorney in consultation with the Chairman of the Legislature and the Chairman and

Deputy Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee,

and move its adoption.
