Referred to: The Public Health and Social Services Committee (Chairman Lopez and
Legislators Nolan, Petit and Wawro), The Public Works and Capital Projects
Committee (Chairman Fabiano and Legislators Greene, Litts, Nolan, and Roberts),
and The Ways and Means Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Archer,
Bartels, Lopez, Maio, James Maloney, Joseph Maloney, and Petit)
Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano,
offers the following:
WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on
behalf of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the present lease agreement between the County and Astor
Services for Children & Families, 6339 Mill Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572, for offices
located at 239 Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, NY 12401 (the “Premises”) will expire
on December 4, 2018, and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has requested the Chairman
of the Ulster County Legislature to enter into a lease agreement with Astor Services
for Children & Families to lease 2,080 square feet of office space on the first floor of
the Premises, for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December
31, 2023, at a cost of $11.00/square foot, totaling $22,880.04 annually, with all
utilities and taxes included; now, therefore be it,
RESOLVED, that the Chairman Of The Ulster County Legislature is hereby
authorized to execute a lease agreement and any amendments thereto, with Astor
Services for Children & Families, 6339 Mill Street Rhinebeck, NY 12572, for offices
located at 239 Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, NY 12401, for a five-year term
beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2023, at a cost of $11.00/square
foot, totaling $22,880.04 annually, with all utilities and taxes included, as filed with
the Clerk of the Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney,
and move its adoption.
