Chairman of the Legislature Kenneth J. Ronk Jr. offers the following:

WHEREAS, this Resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Planning; and

WHEREAS, through the efforts of the late Assemblyman Frank Skartados, the

County was awarded $50,000 in State and Municipal Facilities Program grant

funding by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (“DASNY”) for the

construction of the Hudson Valley Rail Trail West: Phase 4- Capital Project No. 451

(the “Project”), which will reduce the County’s cost share of the Project; and

WHEREAS, Ulster County is required to enter into a Grant Agreement with

DASNY for the allocated funding for the construction phase of the Project, which

will be completed in August 2018; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute a Grant Disbursement Agreement and any amendments thereto,

with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York for the Hudson Valley Rail

Trail West: Phase 4 project; and, be it further

RESOLVED, following execution of the Grant Disbursement Agreement, the

Director of Planning and the Deputy Director of Planning are hereby authorized to

submit all necessary grant related documentation and reimbursement requests and

otherwise act for the County regarding this grant funding,

and move its adoption.
