Chair Laura Petit offer the following:

 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-74(A) of the Ulster County Charter and

Section A16-1(A) of the Administrative Code: “There shall be a Department of

Purchasing headed by a Director of Purchasing who shall be appointed by the County

Executive on the basis of his or her experience and qualifications for the office to

serve at his or her pleasure, subject to confirmation by the County Legislature,” and

WHEREAS, the County Executive has appointed Edward Jordan to the

position of Director of Purchasing for the County of Ulster; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, further pursuant to Sections C-15 and C-74(A) of the Ulster

County Charter and Sections A2-10 and A16-1 (A) of the Administrative Code, the

Ulster County Legislature hereby confirms the appointment of Edward Jordan to the

position of Director of Purchasing for the County of Ulster,

and move its adoption.
