Chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee, Legislator Richard A. Parete,

and Deputy Chairman Tracey A. Bartels offer the following:

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature appropriated to the Ulster County

Soil and Water Conservation District the sum of $68,625.00 in the 2017 Ulster

County Budget; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to County Law Section 223 (1), in order to receive such

funds, the Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District must submit to the

Ulster County Legislature a verified accounting of disbursements to be undertaken,

and to the Ulster County Commissioner of Finance, a Memorandum of Receipt

signed by the principal officer; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute an agreement in the amount of $68,625.00, to be expended

towards the costs associated with operations of the Ulster County Soil and Water

Conservation District, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County

Legislature or as modified with the approval of the County Attorney, Counsel to the

County Legislature, Chairman of the County Legislature, and the Chairman and

Deputy Chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the Comptroller and/or any and all officers of the County of

Ulster, their agents and representatives, shall be allowed full access upon reasonable

notice and at reasonable times to the books, papers, records and premises of the

Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District during the period that this

Resolution is in effect for the purpose of ascertaining the manner in which the above

sum of money is being used or applied; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the above organization agrees to comply with all applicable

Federal, State and local regulations including, in particular, any forbidding

discrimination by such organization,

and move its adoption.
