Committee (Chairman Gerentine and Legislators Allen, Bartels, Belfiglio, Briggs,

Maio, and Maloney)

Chairman of the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee, Thomas J. Briggs,

and Deputy Chairman Ronald G. Lapp, Jr. offer the following:

WHEREAS, Self-Insurance has received the following funds in insurance

claim reimbursement for Sheriff’s Office vehicles damaged or destroyed in the

course of duty; and

WHEARAS, an insurance recovery totaling $75,795.44 has been received in

connection with a Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit 130 and Unit 114. Check #

0000087085 dated 5/4/17 for $ 26,116.28 for Unit # 130, Check # 0000088009 dated

7/7/17 for $48,213.06 for Unit # 114 and Check #0000088452 for $1,466.10 to cover

destroyed radio equipment in Unit #114; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Sheriff submits to have the following funds

moved to the Sheriff’s Auto Repair line from the Self Insurance – Insurance

Recoveries Revenue Line; and

WHEREAS, the funds will be used to cover the expense associated with the

replacement of the vehicles and equipment, which was expended from the Auto

Repair line; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

INCREASE AMOUNT

AA.3110.1811.4690.4690 Auto Repair $75,796.00
