Chairman of the Legislative Programs, Education and Community Services

Committee, Mary Wawro, and Deputy Chairman David B. Donaldson offer the

following:

 

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Youth Bureau; and

WHEREAS, the Director of the Youth Bureau has requested the Ulster

County Youth Bureau’s 2017 Resource Allocation Plan be approved in the amount of

$259,736.00 in order to qualify for reimbursement from the New York State Office

of Children and Family Services; and

WHEREAS, the $259,736.00 total includes $40,000.00 for programs

administered by non-County municipalities (towns, villages and/or city) which

qualify for reimbursement from the New York State Office of Children and Family

Services to those municipalities; and

WHEREAS, the Resource Allocation Plan covers Youth Development

Programs (YDP), and Runaway Homeless Youth Act programs; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Youth Board has met and reviewed all

submitted proposals and has made its recommendation to the Director of the Youth

Bureau; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby approves the Ulster

County Youth Bureau’s 2017 Resource Allocation Plan in the amount of

$259,736.00, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or

as modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to sign the

resource allocation plan and any other contracts or agreements required as a result of

this funding; and, be it further

RESOLVED, the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute inter-municipal agreements with the various municipalities

which will be funded under the approved allocation plan; and, be it further 

 

RESOLVED, if funding for this plan is eliminated, County participation will

be reviewed by the Ways and Means Committee,

and move its adoption.
