Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, the County Executive has submitted this resolution on behalf of

the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has been notified by the New

York State Department of Transportation of a decrease in CHIPS funding for Ulster

County Highway Capital Improvements in the amount of $3,464.15 for the State

fiscal year 2017-2018; and

 WHEREAS, there exists a 2016 CHIPS budget balance of $376,702.03 to be

rolled over into the 2017 Budget; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to adjust the Budget to reflect the net difference of

the rollover balance and State decrease in funding; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works requests the 2017 CHIPS

appropriations and revenues be increased by $373,237.88 ($376,702.03 rollover

minus $3,464.15 decrease); and

RESOLVED, that the 2017 Ulster County Budget is hereby amended as

follows:

 INCREASE AMOUNT

DD.5112.5112.4100.4125 Road Highway Materials $373,237.88
