Chairman of the Public Works and Capital Projects Committee, Dean J. Fabiano, and

Deputy Chairman Peter M. Loughran offer the following:

WHEREAS, the County Executive is continuing an Infrastructure Investment

Program known as “Building a Better Ulster County” as a commitment to addressing

critical road and bridge improvements at the County level; and

 WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has prepared the 2016

Various Bridges Project list; and

WHEREAS, after review of inventory and prioritizing needs for the Various

Bridges Project, the Commissioner of Public Works at this time requests $673,000.00

from the current year’s Capital Plan; and

WHEREAS, the approved 2016– 2021 Capital Plan includes the amount of

$735,000.00 for the Various Bridges Project; and

WHEREAS, the balance ($62,000.00) of the 2016 Capital Plan allocation for

this Project shall be reserved for future needs ($735,000.00 less $673,000.00 =

$62,000.00); and

 WHEREAS, it is now necessary to establish and fund Capital Project Nos. 476

– 478 in the amount of $673,000.00 for the 2016 Various Bridges Project; and

WHEREAS, based upon examination by the Ulster County Legislature, the

County’s funding of this Project constitutes a Type II action as defined under

Sections 4.5.6 of the County of Ulster’s State Environmental Quality Review Act

(SEQRA) Type II List, which was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 118 dated

April 20, 2010; and

 WHEREAS, Ulster County has determined that this funding action does not

pose a significant potential environmental impact and may be progressed as a Type II

action in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617 of SEQRA, and does not require any

further determination or procedure under SEQRA; and

 

 

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 476 - 478 - “Building a Better Ulster

County” Infrastructure Investment Program, Various Bridges Project is hereby

established as follows:
