Legislator Tracey A. Bartels offers the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 394 dated November 18, 2014, the

Ulster County Legislature created the Ulster County Solid Waste Management

Improvement Commission for the purpose of comprehensively reviewing the

technologies, grant funding and host benefits available to newly established solid

waste disposal facilities; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Solid Waste Management Improvement

Commission is to be comprised of twelve (12) members, including the Mayor from

the City of Kingston or designee and a second at large Representative of the General

Public; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature adopted Resolution No. 44 of

2015, which appointed ten (10) designated members of the Ulster County Solid

Waste Improvement Commission; and

WHEREAS, after Resolution No. 44 was adopted, the Mayor of the City of

Kingston expressed desire to appoint Gregg Swanzey as his designee on the Ulster

County Solid Waste Management Improvement Commission; and

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists with the final at large Representative of the

General Public awaiting nomination and appointment; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature confirms the appointment of

the following individuals as members of the Ulster County Solid Waste Management

Improvement Commission,

(1) Gregg Swanzey, Mayor Designee, City of Kingston

(2) To Be Determined, Member at-large

and moves its adoption.
