Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee, Craig V. Lopez, and

Deputy Chairman Jeanette Provenzano offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted by the County Executive on

behalf of the Department of Health; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Health requests that the Chairman of the

Ulster County Legislature be authorized to execute a five-year amendment to

Contract No. 20110000003 CAT-317 and any future amendments thereto, to extend

the contract with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection to

continue delegation of administration of Section 18-38 of the Watershed Regulations

for the period June 30, 2015 through June 29, 2020; and

WHEREAS, all remaining terms and conditions of the original agreement

remain unchanged; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Department of Health reviews and approves

new subsurface sewage treatment systems to be located in the portion of the

watershed of the New York City water supply situated within Ulster County; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature is hereby

authorized to execute a five-year amendment to Contract No. 20110000003 CAT-317

and any future amendments thereto, to extend the contract with the New York City

Department of Environmental Protection to continue delegation of administration of

Section 18-38 of the Watershed Regulations for the period June 30, 2015 through

June 29, 2020, in the form as filed with the Clerk of the Ulster County Legislature or

modified with the approval of the County Attorney; and, be it further

RESOLVED, that if funding for this program is eliminated, the program will

be eliminated as well,

and move its adoption.
