Capital Projects Committee (Chairman Fabiano and Legislators Archer, Greene,

Loughran, Roberts)

Legislators John Parete and Kenneth Ronk offer the following:

WHEREAS, to date, Ulster County has installed nine electric car charging

stations at county facilities available for public use; and

WHEREAS, the decision to offer the electric free of charge to all noncommercial vehicles is still being vetted; and

WHEREAS, now that these electric vehicle charging stations are available for

use by the County and the general public, the Ulster County Legislature has

determined that it is responsible to establish a policy regulating the use of said

electric vehicle charging stations; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Ulster County Legislature hereby establishes and adopts

the “Ulster County Electric Vehicle Charging Station Policy” attached hereto as

Exhibit A,

and move its adoption.

Legislator Ronk motioned, seconded by Legislator Bartels, to strike Section II. B. of

the Policy, and to amend Section II. A. of the Policy by striking the words “during

the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday”, and replacing them with

“for more than two hours.”
