Legislator Lynn Archer lives and works in Ulster County and understands the joys and challenges of life in our community. Lynn enjoyed a successful corporate career as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources at JPMorgan Chase before opening her own her own small business, Archer Fine Art and Framing, in High Falls. Lynn uses her business skills as the representative for the towns of Rochester and Wawarsing.
Before being elected to the County Legislature in 2014, Lynn served as a Councilwoman for 6 years on the Town of Rochester Town Board. Carl Chipman, Supervisor during her tenure, said, “I could always count on Lynn to bring a level headed approach using good old fashioned common sense to the table as we have tried to serve the needs of our community.” Lynn has a proud list of accomplishments from her years on the Town Board that includes keeping property taxes low during economic recession, passing an anti-fracking law and voting for the first zoning revision in 35 years.
As a County Legislator, Lynn is working to reduce taxes and shrink government sensibly, expand broadband to remote areas of the county, grow tourism opportunities by connecting our communities and link rail trails, and advocate for small business and the expansion of local agriculture.
