Chairwoman of the Economic Development, Planning, Education, Employment, Arts and Agriculture Committee, Megan Sperry, and Deputy Chair Herbert Litts, III offer the following:

WHEREAS, this resolution has been submitted at the request of the County Executive on behalf of SUNY Ulster; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 149, dated April 16, 2019, approved the establishment and funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $153,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 569, dated December 21, 2021, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $100,000.00, making the project total $253,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 347, dated July 19, 2022, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $340,000.00, making the project total $593,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 332, dated June 13, 2023, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $300,000.00, making the project total $893,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Ulster County Legislature via Resolution No. 280, dated June 18, 2024, approved an increase in funding of Capital Project No. 541, SUNY Ulster - Facilities Equipment in the amount of $250,000.00, making the project total $1,143,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the 2025-2030 Ulster County Capital Improvement Program included a fiscal year ended December 31, 2025 budget of $640,000.00 for SUNY Equipment and Technology; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster is in need of replacement battery equipment for the Plant Operations Department; and

WHEREAS, the $50,000.00 cost to replace facilities equipment for campus facilities in 2025 would be divided as follows: $25,000.00 State and $25,000.00 Ulster County; and

WHEREAS, SUNY Ulster Board of Trustees approved amendment to Capital Project No. 541 – Facilities Equipment via Resolution No.25-06-XX; now, therefore be        

RESOLVED, that Capital Project No. 541 – SUNY Ulster Facilities Equipment is hereby amended as follows:

RESOLVED, that the 2025 Ulster County Capital Fund Budget is hereby amended as follows:
