Ulster County Invites You to Shape the Future of Arts & Culture
(KINGSTON, NY) – Ulster County is embarking on an exciting journey to create its first-ever Arts and Culture Plan, and we need your help!
This year-long initiative aims to craft a shared vision for our county’s arts and culture landscape. We’re seeking input from everyone—residents, workers, and visitors—to ensure the final plan reflects our community’s diverse needs and aspirations.
Your Voice Matters! Whether you're an artist, an art lover, or simply someone who enjoys cultural events, your input will help shape a plan that benefits everyone. By participating, you'll contribute to strategies that enhance access to arts and cultural events, drive economic growth, promote social equity, and celebrate our unique heritage. Your insights will help us develop goals that align with our collective vision of a thriving, prosperous, and culturally vibrant county.
Share your thoughts through our Community Participation Survey on the Participate Ulster website: https://participate.ulstercountyny.gov/arts-culture-plan. The survey is open until August 31, 2024, and is available in both English and Spanish. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of crafting a vibrant future for Ulster County’s arts and culture! Take the Survey Today!
The survey includes sections on your experiences with arts and cultural events, creative practices, and an optional demographic section. Be sure to provide additional comments in our “open mic” section. Plus, complete the survey and enter to win exciting prizes like free event tickets, gift certificates, and more!
“Arts and culture are essential to the fabric of Ulster County,” said Peter Criswell, Chair of the Ulster County Legislature. “This plan will succeed only if it reflects the diverse voices and experiences of our community. I encourage everyone to participate and share their vision for our county’s cultural future.”
“The arts enrich our lives, and we are excited to develop the first-ever comprehensive Arts & Culture Plan for the County to support and enhance the role of our artistic and cultural resources in our communities and local economy,” said Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger. “I encourage residents to take a few moments to fill out the Cultural Community Participation Survey, and help us make our Arts & Culture Plan the best it can be.”
Thank you for contributing to our Plan!
