Ulster County Legislators Encourage Voters to Utilize Early Voting Options Across the County

Kingston, NY – Legislators across Ulster County remind everyone that Early Voting is ongoing the and encourage voters to consider casting their ballot now rather than wait until Election Day.  Early voting will continue until Sunday November 6, 2022.

This year there are six early voting polling sites located at:

  • American Legion Hall, 26-28 Mountain Road, Shokan
  • Midtown Neighborhood Center, 467 Broadway, Kingston
  • Ellenville Public Library, 40 Center Street, Ellenville
  • New Paltz Community Center, 3 Veterans Drive, New Paltz
  • Marlborough Town Hall, 21 Milton Turnpike, Milton
  • Saugerties Senior Center, 207 Market Street, Saugerties

Ulster County voters may cast their ballot at any of the six centers regardless of where they live.  The sites are open from 9:00AM – 5:00PM every day through Sunday, November 6.

“I am very excited that voters in Saugerties and throughout Ulster County have the opportunity to utilize Early Voting for the November 8th General Election. Early Voting is open right now through Sunday, November 6th, and all Ulster County voters have the opportunity, at their convenience and with ease, to cast their vote at the Saugerties Senior Center or one of the other Early Voting Centers throughout the county. With Early Voting turnout in 2022 so far setting a record in Ulster County, I want to congratulate and thank the Ulster County Board of Elections and Commissioners Dittus and Quigley and their staff for implementing a successful Early Voting program,” said Legislator Aaron Levine (District 1, Saugerties).

"Voting is how we as Americans have our voice heard and it is vital that our community engage in the civic process. I encourage every Ulster County voter to consider Early Voting now through Sunday at any of the six polling sites across the County. I thank the Ulster County Board of Elections and Commissioners Quigley and Dittus for their tireless work throughout this election cycle," said Legislator Gina Hansut (District 10, Highland). 

Election Commissioner Ashley Dittus said, “Since its launch in 2019 Early Voting has expanded our ability to help voters cast their ballot and ease the burden of voting on election day.”

“Planning your vote has never been easier! Here at the board of elections we work hard to deliver our voters a great voting experience. However you decide to vote we appreciate the time you are taking to partake in our democracy,” Said Election Commissioner John Quigley.

Early voting will close this Sunday November 6, 2022. Election Day is Tuesday November 8, 2022.  Polls on Election Day are open from 6:00AM – 9:00PM.  One can find their Election Day polling site and view a sample ballot by going to the Ulster County Board of Election website, elections.ulstercountyny.gov.
