Continuing their long-term vision to share resources and reduce costs for both the County and the local municipalities, the Legislature voted unanimously to place Sheriff personnel in Ulster BOCES and Rondout Valley Central School District schools as School Resource Officers as well as municipal agreements with Hardenburgh and Denning for the shared maintenance of county roads.
With a unanimous vote, the Ulster County Legislature accepted an arbitration settlement with the Ulster County Sheriff’s Employees Association. The agreement provides 2% increases for full time employees and increases immediately the part time pay for Correction Officers from $14.35 per hour to $16 per hour.
