Chair Criswell Announces 2024 Legislative Annual Calendar and Standing & Special Committee Appointments 

(Kingston, NY) – Today Chair Peter Criswell has announced the 2024 Legislative Session Calendar as well as assignments to Standing and Special Committees for the 2024 term. 

“I am pleased to unveil the Committee assignments for 2024. This historic approach, characterized by unprecedented bipartisanship and a diverse representation across our county, reflects our commitment to ensuring that every resident's voice is not only heard but embraced in County Government. By assembling a team with varied strengths, skill sets, and a shared passion for public service, we aim to empower our new and returning Legislators to actively contribute to the critical decisions that shape our community. We eagerly anticipate diving into the business of governance, dedicated to serving Ulster County with excellence,” expressed Chair Criswell. 

“The Democratic Caucus is excited for the work ahead as we strive to put forth policies related to housing, healthcare access, and other key priorities of Ulster County’s broad diversity of residents. We are also excited to usher in a new era of transparency in government and I encourage the public to attend our Committee meetings or view them via livestream to witness the legislative process firsthand,” said Majority Leader Abe Uchitelle.
